Richard Huang - Percussion Instructor

Rich was a member of the 1994 Velvet Knights Drum and Bugle Corps and the 1996 Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps.   He has taught percussion at the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps, Taipei Yuefu Drum and Bugle Corps, and Impulse Drum and Bugle Corps.

Rich has a B.A. degree in Sociology from Cal State University, Long Beach

Rich was an award-winning percussion performer during his marching days and won awards in 1992 and 1993 for Snare Drum Solo Champion with the Southern California Drum Line Association and in 1996 won the Most Valuable Performer Award from the Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps.

Currently, Rich works as a percussion consultant and instructor for several high schools in southern California and also does work as a on-call musician for the Disneyland Band and the “Trash Can Trio” percussion group at Disneyland.
